Hillary campaigning for green, and not just the illegal Chinese donations either
Hillary Clinton, jumping on the Al Gore nobel prize winning band wagon is campaigning for Green… and not just illegal contributions from chinese donors.
From the NY Times
Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton on Monday released her plan to combat climate change and to increase energy efficiency, which includes raising fuel standards to 55 miles per gallon by 2030 and creating five million jobs through renewable energy advancements.
The article in the Times is actually a very poor description of Hillary’s energy policiy. For a more detailed description you can check out Hillary’s Campaign Website.
Centered on a cap and trade system for carbon emissions, stronger energy and auto efficiency standards and a significant increase in green research funding, Hillary’s plan will reduce America’s reliance on foreign oil and address the looming climate crisis.
The “looming Climate Crisis” is little more than hype to generate big $$ for Enviromental Fat Cat’s by useing a Cap & Trade System. I would also bet that those same enviromental fat cats are major contributors to Hillary’s campaign, her Political Action Committees, the Clinton legal defense fund, as well as the Clinton Presidential Library.
Recognizing that transportation accounts for 70 percent of U.S. oil consumption, Hillary would increase fuel efficiency standards to 55 miles per gallon by 2030, but would help automakers retool their production facilities through $20 billion in “Green Vehicle Bonds.”
If auto makers can affordably produce a vehicle that is energy efficient and still delivers the power and utility that Americans need or want in thier vehicles they will sell. There will be no need to subsidize anything through Green Vehicle Bonds or other bailouts.
Hillary would transform our economy from carbon-based to clean and energy efficient,…
Sounds just like centralized economic planning… where did she get this from the Joseph Stalin handbook on economic planning?
To take the steps necessary to transition to a clean and renewable energy future, Hillary will urge all of the nation’s stakeholders to contribute to the effort.
Read this as higher taxes, and in all likelyhood this tax revenue will not go into research for alternative energy sources but instead be used to increase dependency on the Federal government for all our basic needs. Her energy plan will reduce our energy consumption, but it will also essentially destroy our economy in the process.
I am the first to admit that we as a nation need to move towards energy independence. But we are not going to get there by Conservation alone. We also need to expand the use of our own energy resources like Coal, Nuclear power, Windfarms, and Solar Power and include expanded exploration and drilling for untapped oil reserves.
