Iranian Terrorist in Chief to visit Ground Zero

This is pathetic and infurriating… The only way he should even be allowed in the city at all is in layover on his way to Gitmo for incarceration…

In a move that has stunned New York, the Bloomberg administration is in discussions to escort the Iranian president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, to ground zero during his visit to New York next week, Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly said today.

The Iranian mission to the U.N. made the request to the New York City Police Department and the Secret Service, which will jointly oversee security during the leader’s two-day visit. Mr. Ahmadinejad is scheduled to arrive September 24 to speak to the U.N. General Assembly as the Security Council decides whether to increase sanctions against his country for its uranium enrichment program.

UPDATE: NYPD Rejects Iranian Terrorist President’s Viewing Request

NYPD Statement:

A request earlier this month to permit a visit by Iranian President Ahmadinejad to Ground Zero during the United Nations General Assembly was rejected in a meeting which included NYPD, Secret Service, and Port Authority officials. The site is closed to visitors because of construction there. That was the only request.  Requests for the Iranian president to visit the immediate area would also be opposed by the NYPD on security grounds.

  1. Yeah, but…he wasn’t granted permission, now was he? Is there truth in headlines? Did anyone seriously believe that he’s be granted the visit?

    Storm:

I don’t even believe he should be in my country, but he’s coming, isn’t he?

Fortunately, smarter heads prevailed and didn’t allow that terrorist bastard to visit Ground Zero.

However, Columbia University did invite him to their campus…. it just sickens me.

I do not like the fact that Ahmadinejad (ahmadingdong) is in New York and I find it an afront that he would dare to want to come. But in fairness to Iranian people, they were really the only Muslim country to hold Candle Lit vigil in the aftermath of 9-11.

While Palestinians were chanting, Indonesians were partying, the Iranian PEOPLE were holding their head down in sorrow.

  4. Ty Ajax for the link.. The only thing I hold against the people of Iran is they continue to allow a terrorist like Ahmadinejad represent them…

Well, Darrell, it is not the Iranian people per se that are voting him into office. The structure of the Iranian government is an amalgamation of democracy, theocracy and autocracy (to quote Flynt Leverett).

The government is very corrupt, there is so much fraud and so much vote tampering that really I question whether the Iranian people did vote him into office?

Prior to his ascendancy to the Presidency, he was a no body. No one ever heard of him.

Secondly, and I think it is a point more important than the first, Ahmadinejad is not a President in the sense that we know, like our Presidency. The major figure that holds the lion’s share of power – one who directs foreign policy, domestic policy and all matters related to State – is the Supreme Leader Khamenai (not to be mistaken with the Ayatollah Khomeini who was a wacko – more so than this ding dong). So really, Ahmadinejad is a nobody – but he does have some significance, and I think that his ability to rally support is one of those “some”.

Also, and this will be my last point, the moderate elements in Iran are leaving – and they are leaving in droves. Most of them go to Canada, to Germany, Australia, the U.S. etc. and the more radical elements that are in accord with the regime are staying behind – hence my folks.

Meaning, my folks are the moderate elements that left Iran in the early 1970s (prior to the revolution in 79).
