Seven Surrendercrats of the GOP

Seven “Republican” Senators Intend to advance their non binding resolution on Iraq by attaching it to other bills. The resolution is non binding and is intended to send a message to the other end of Pennsylvania Ave. While the resolution itself will have absolutely no effect on what the President can do in prosecuting the war in Iraq, the message it sends has its effects well beyond Pennsylvania Avenue. It undermines our mission in Iraq and the troops deployed to carryout that mission.

From CNN

Seven Republican senators, who support a resolution that opposes sending more troops to Iraq, are considering political tactics to force debate on the measure, which stalled in the Senate this week.

Debate on the resolution was stymied Monday when backers could not get the 60 votes needed on a motion to move it toward a vote.

In a letter to the Senate leadership, the seven senators said: “Monday’s procedural vote should not be interpreted as any lessening of our resolve to go forward advocating the [resolution’s] concepts.”

One tactic would be to attach language from the stalled resolution to any legislation that comes up — thus forcing debate on President Bush’s plan to send more troops to Iraq.

  1. And these RINO’s wonder why their constituents abandon them or just stop voting, period. Unbeleivable.

  2. True David..

There are too many issues in which it is difficult to tell the difference between Republicans and Democrats…

    Thanks for the comment.
