Pelosi Says Iraq Is Not “a War To Win”

Hat tip to California Conservative

Nancy Pelosi was interviewed on Fox Report tonight and asked what her plan for victory in Iraq would look like.  After a few seconds of stammering, the obvious awkward moment ended.  Here’s Nancy Pelosi on defining Iraq:

Her answer…

“The point is this isn’t a war to win, it’s a situation to solve. And you define ‘winning’ any way you want, but you must solve this problem.”

So there you have it, the next Speaker of the House & her plan for Iraq.. accept defeat.

Here is a look at some of the some of the highlights low points of her voting record.

Voted against the  Patriot Act; Voted against the 87 Billion to fund operations in Iraq & Afghanistan.. TWICE…. Hell even John Kerry voted for it before he voted against it; Voted against Drilling in ANWAR; and Voted Against building a Fence on the Southern Border… wouldn’t want to impede those workers from getting to her wineries…

digg story

  1. It’s going to be an interesting two years.

  2. Darrell,

    I found the video of Nancy’s comment on Fox and posted it on my blog and California Conservative if you’re interested.

    My husband served in Iraq for a year. This is one of the most misunderstood and complex situations I’ve ever encountered. When Nancy Pelosi made her comment in response to the question, “How do YOU define victory?”, we were both stunned. THIS is the new leader of the house? She can’t even call it a war and I’m not convinced she thinks there’s a real enemy. Unreal.

  3. Subvet..

    Interesting could well be the understatement of the year, however considering how the terrorists play off the various media reports and the “Speaker Elect” making comments like this it could be a very dangerous two years as well.

    Thanks for the comment;

  4. Amy,

    Thanks for the tip on the Fox News Video, & thank you and your husband for your service. The way the Media and the Democrat Leadership have portrayed Iraq is disgusting. I personaly know many people who have served in Iraq or Afghanistan, some currently deployed. Each and everyone have said that what is reported by the media is no where near being the whole story. The Media and Democrats were very sucessfull in making Iraq an issue in the election. They were also sucessfull in ensuring that the voters made their decision with only half of the information.

    Thanks again for the comment and the link.
