So, voters this fall are not so concerned with immigration, at least according to a new PEW poll:

From the PressTelegram:

WASHINGTON – While House and Senate Republicans made illegal immigration their top priority before hitting the campaign trail this month, a new Pew Research Center poll finds that most Americans won’t be focusing on immigration come Nov. 7.

Just 24 percent of voters name immigration as a key election issue, compared with 51 percent who cite Iraq and 37 percent who cite terrorism, according to the poll.

“It matters a great deal to a small minority of voters, but it is not a top-tier issue for a majority of voters,” said Pew’s associate director Carroll Doherty.

With the scandal surrounding former Congressman Mark Foley dominating the national political discussion, it remains to be seen what impact immigration – or, for that matter, any other issue – will have on voters

Well, doesn’t make alot of sense to me. The Democrats are running their fall campaign as if it were a national Presidential election — i.e., Bushlied — and their shills in the press have been laying down thick propaganda.

But, this fall, folks will be voting on local issues, so we’ll see.

  1. Wait a minute…is this THE “Morning Coffee?” Nice new design, I’m not sure what my eyes make of it though.

Polls, schmolls….Clinton lived by the polls, the media lives by the polls…when are we going to begin living by reality?

    Like you said, “we’ll see!!!!!!”
