John Coleman The Founder of The Weather Channel has written a very good article on Global Warming that everyone should read. The whole article can be found at ICECAP, but here are are a few excerpts that I found relevent.
It is the greatest scam in history. I am amazed, appalled and highly offended by it. Global Warming; It is a SCAM. Some dastardly scientists with environmental and political motives manipulated long term scientific data to create in allusion of rapid global warming. Other scientists of the same environmental whacko type jumped into the circle to support and broaden the “research” to further enhance the totally slanted, bogus global warming claims. Their friends in government steered huge research grants their way to keep the movement going. Soon they claimed to be a consensus.
The Global Warming activists need the hype to keep those research grants coming their way… The movement is less about the environment than it is about keeping the enviromental Fat Cats fully funded.
I do not oppose environmentalism. I do not oppose the political positions of either party. However, Global Warming, ie Climate Change, is not about environmentalism or politics. It is not a religion. It is not something you “believe in.” It is science; the science of meteorology. This is my field of life-long expertise. And I am telling you Global Warming is a non-event, a manufactured crisis and a total scam. I say this knowing you probably won’t believe a me, a mere TV weatherman, challenging a Nobel Prize, Academy Award and Emmy Award winning former Vice President of United States. So be it.

One claim I see Global Warming afficionados touting, is that the science disputing man’s effect on climate change has been “funded by big oil”.
I think to myself; “Well. . .DUH.”
The majority of science today, is funded privately, or by governmental special interest groups. These groups all have a political agenda of one sort or another.
While some of the research disputing global warming’s severity, etc. etc. , has indeed been conducted by organizations with a stake in the oil industry, there is no difference between that, and groups with a vested interest in environmental issues funding global warming research, with regards to the source’s influence on the science.
Scientific study, no matter how conscientiously carried out, will tend to produce results favorable to the source of the funding for the study. This should be taken into consideration no matter what side of the issue we look at.

I personally have always had my doubts on this “GLOBAL WARMING” HYSTERIA.
Don’t get me wrong; I’m a personal friend to KEVIN GORE: Nephew of FORMER U.S. VICE-PRESIDENT and “GLOBAL WARMING” ADVOCATE and SPOKESMAN MR. AL(BERT) GORE!
But I have PERSONALLY looked at WEATHER/TEMPERATURE STATISTICS within the LAST 100-to-150 years: and THEY seem to CONTRADICT this so-called “GLOBAL WARMING” Threat/Apocalypse !
Example #1:
Back in the mid/late 1800s, ESPECIALLY in the 1890s; Temperatures in the MID-WEST (Chicago-land area) reached WELL OVER the 90-DEGREE/100-DEGREE level (back when OUR GREAT(-GREAT)-GRANDMOTHERS wore THEIR/THOSE HEAD-TO-TOE LONG VICTORIAN BLACK DRESSES/DRAPES & BLOOMERS) !
Example #2.
Even in THE YEAR 1950; especially on NOVEMBER 1st, 1950 (The day the Three Puerto-Rican Nationalists/Terrorists ATTEMPTED to ASSASSINATE PRESIDENT HARRY TRUMAN in Washington D.C.) The Temperatures that afternoon (in D.C. & Chicago, IL) SWELLED into THE HIGH-80s/MID-90s !
The STATISTICS and RECORDED HISTORIC FACTS & FIGURES CONTRADICT The Hypothesis, Theories and OUTRIGHT SCAM of
GLOBAL WARMING ! ! ! ! ! !

Yes, I heard that same thing on Mark Levin last night. Grr, it agitates me that even the founder of the WEATHER CHANNEL is saying this stuff, yet no-one bothers to believe him in the worry of Global Warming coming to ruin you. I swear, it’s like an epidemic.

What research grants? What makes you think there are big grants available for studying global warming?

Anyone who claims that anthropogenic climate change is bunk (especially those who use words like “dastardly”) presumably should be in possession of some extraordinary evidence to back up his or her claims. If so, then by all means they should publish this evidence in a peer-reviewed scientific journal, where it can be subjected to the rigorous review process that all climate scientists have to go through.
Until such a time, John Coleman is just another blogger confusing his opinion with reality.
