Hamas Edges Toward Recognizing Israel

While the AP headline here is promising, the refusal to reject violence and the demands that Israel grant the return of so called refugees to Israel. Israel has always rejected the "right of return" in the past and I am sure they will do so again. The agreement itself is a non-starter, it simply will not happen. Not only from the Israeli standpoint but the Hamas leadership is also opposed to it. The agreement was likely put forth knowing that Israel would reject it and again make the Palestinians appear like the victims they are so adept at playing. Their reasoning behind putting forth the "agreement" now is that it will likely satisfy the EU and they will allow the release of financial aid to the Hamas dominated Palestinian Authority so they can pay their 165,000 employees… sadly it will likely work.
