Dems and Left continue to politicize National Security

The Press and the Dems as well as a few Republicans are tryint to score political points or possibly undermine Gen Hayden's nomination as director of the CIA over a story in USA Today. Here is the most important portion of that story:

This program does not involve the NSA listening to or recording conversations. But the spy agency is using the data to analyze calling patterns in an effort to detect terrorist activity, sources said in separate interviews.

Quite simply the NSA is compiling and analyzing data already collected by phone companies to detect terrorist activity and potentially prevent a terrorist attack. Playing politics with National Security is disgraceful and pathetic. Those who do, clearly demonstrate that they place their short term political gains well ahead of National Security on their Priority list.
